Completed with acrylic paint, pencils and ink. This piece tells the story of both loss and victory in my art endeavors as a child. Below I share the poetry that expresses those thoughts.
“Buried Treasure”
Memories of old, relics and toys
Fond memories, youthful joys
We put them in boxes, set on a shelf
not realizing that we are losing ourselves
Not pandora’s box, not useless things
but our actual identity that gave us wings
So butterflies and foxes in misty moon
Reflect joy and sing out happy tunes.
