Description

8″ x 8″ Canvas on Board (sides black)

Often we think about different birds for different meaning, and so it is with the cardinal.  Many are reminded of their loved ones when they see a cardinal stop by.  It is from this sense that I created this piece. Though I do not see the bird as being a person or my loved one, I do cherish memories of close friends and confidants.  It is with this thought that I took some artistic freedom to share those emotions with the viewer.  Like many of my pieces this ones includes poetry speaking depth and volume into my creation process.

so long we have sat

from daylight start

with memorable chat

forever you will stay in my memory

as I lean against you, and you lean against me
